Writing things down.by Anon
I made a diary of all the things that had happened in the past. It helped me to remember that I was not the one to blame. I realised how I had been worn down and that I would never go back to that life again. Comment by Moderator: Keeping a dairy of everything that has happened, or as another submitter suggested, writing it all down in a table format, really does help to gain a perspective over all our experiences and remind us not to go down that road again. It also helps us to recognise the early warning signs if we become involved with someone else and thereby avoid same situation with different abuser. But I think one of the most important aspects is that it helps to validate our experiences. Thanks for your suggestion, I am sure it will be of benefit to many! |
