Stuck in Poverty
I feel as though throughout my whole marriage I was stuck in poverty, My husband frequently quit jobs, or took farming or part time jobs, earning little to no money, and did not fight for what was his when he was paid late ... as much as up to a year late, and then not all at one time! I went to school and earned a pleasant wage, then he started buying toys. He would drink and be resentful that he had to work full time to provide us insurance and frequently complained about the bills and mortgage. After my nervous breakdown, he quit his job again, knowing that I had no income as I was recovering. We are now deep in debt after having gotten completely out of debt twice. Stuck in Poverty again! I have since left him and now he states he is getting a better job, which I have been asking him to do for our entire 26 year marriage. Is this of neglect or financial abuse? |
