Remembering how FREE I feel Every Dayby Anon
At low times it helps remembering how FREE I feel every day now he is gone. Often I during those low times reminding myself of what he really is like and what life with him really looked like, rather than the person he is (and was) in my fantasy. That helps to bring me back to the reality that if I had not left that abusive relationship, then I would have that sense of how free I feel every day. That Freedom might not sound like much, but it means a lot to me: Just being to spend time with fun people and friends, who enjoy activities that I enjoy. And being able to watch my child develop and become more confident. Just doing what I want to do, rather than what my abuser wanted me to do. That to me is already being free every day! |
