Leave before it's too late
by Kayla
Please leave before it's too late. The Abuser never changes, it's just a matter of time before they do it again. For 3.5 years I was in a controlling relationship. I moved out, continued dating long distance, then Boom, physical abuse happened and that in front of my Son. Like a fool I stayed with him, it happened again 2 months later and I couldn't wrap my head around how HE, OF ALL PEOPLE, would really continue to hurt me like that? That is why I am advising you to leave before it is too late and you are harmed even more. Again, I stayed and then today I have dismissed him from my life. I've had to file a protective order against him for harassing and threatening me. But at the end of the day, we're never really safe, we'll always watch our backs and we'll always contain that fear. We didn't have kids together so I can't relate with that, but I will keep you in my prayers. |
